SHIPPING AND DELIVERY POLICY

If you are placing an order for whisky or merchandise, please read these terms regarding delivery. We currently only ship within the United Kingdom.

1. Delivery Timeframes and Estimates

We always aim to deliver your order in a timely manner.

  • Processing Time: Orders are processed and dispatched from the Estate within 1-2 working days of receiving your payment.

  • Delivery Estimate: Once dispatched, UK orders are typically delivered within 3-5 working days.

  • Carrier Liability: We use external carriers for all deliveries. The timeframe mentioned above is an estimate, not a guaranteed delivery time. We cannot accept liability for late delivery caused by circumstances outside our control, such as difficult weather conditions or British national holidays.

  • Time-Critical Orders: If your order is time-critical, we ask that you place it with sufficient time to avoid disappointment.

2. Age Verification (18+ Mandatory)

As a legal requirement for the sale of alcohol in the UK, we strictly enforce age verification.

  • Requirement: By placing an order, you confirm that you are over 18 years old.

  • Proof of Age: Our third-party delivery partners operate a Challenge 25 policy. The driver reserves the right to ask for valid photo ID (such as a passport or driving license) from the recipient to confirm they are 18 or over.

  • Refusal: If valid proof of age cannot be supplied, the delivery will be refused and returned to us.

3. Delivery Restrictions and Liability

We're happy to deliver to an address different from your billing address; simply enter the desired location at checkout. However, there are some restrictions:

  • Unacceptable Addresses: Due to security and delivery complexity, we cannot dispatch orders to Post Box Numbers or Schools. Orders placed with these addresses will be cancelled or delayed until we can contact you for a valid address.

  • Military Bases: Deliveries to military bases can experience significant complications. Please be aware of your base's relevant policies before ordering.

  • Delivery Attempts: Delivery will be attempted a maximum of 3 times, although this may be fewer depending on the courier's policy. We advise you to contact the courier or your local collection point if you think you have missed a delivery.

  • Incorrect Addresses: We take no responsibility for an item dispatched or delivered to an address if you provided incorrect or incomplete details in your order. You will be responsible for the cost of return shipping to us and the cost of re-shipping to the correct address.

4. Missing Orders

If your order has not arrived when expected, please follow these steps:

  1. Check Tracking: If you have received a tracking number, check the courier's website first, as they will have the most recent information.
  2. Contact Courier: If you are unsure where your delivery is, contact the courier directly.
  3. Contact Us: If you need further assistance contacting the courier, or if the order has been missing for an extended period, please email us at info@thenetherfield.com.

5. Additional Information

  • We cannot accept orders via email or telephone; all orders must be placed via the website.

  • We cannot combine multiple separate orders made on the website.

  • If you require shipping for more than 18 bottles, please contact us directly using info@thenetherfield.com for a bespoke quote.

  • Netherfield Bond Ltd can reserve stock and store it for collection by prior arrangement only.
